3 Ways to Discover and Uncover Your Passion

The continual buzz around lifestyle entrepreneurs isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Let’s face it – the notion of doing something just because of money is highly discouraged. However, the truth of the matter is that we all need money to live comfortably, pay our bills, and to just get by.

Success isn’t measured by just the ability to say, “I make a crap ton of money!” And of course, success is subjective based on your goals and dreams. Further, two specific things that any aspiring entrepreneur or existing entrepreneur strives for are: Money and Liberty. There’s nothing better than being able to do what you want when you want to and having money while doing that, right?

Well, I’m a big believer in discovering what your true passion is and finding a way to turn that passion into a money making machine. More specifically, doing what you love and loving what you do! That said, here are three places to start…

Discover and Uncover Your Passion

Here are some questions you need to answer:

  1. What makes you happy?
  2. What inspires you?
  3. What are your fears?
  4. If you had one purpose to strive towards with your work, what would it be and why?
  5. Who inspires you?

Lay Out An Execution Plan

As the saying goes: “Failing to plan is planning to fail.” Once you have an idea of what you want to do, start laying out a game plan. Within this plan, list out possible challenges you may encounter as your journey won’t be filled with only rainbows and unicorns. The purpose of your plan is to serve as your compass so that you don’t fall off the path you want to journey through. Be realistic and honest with yourself.

Execute!

Understand that execution doesn’t lead to perfection nor does it lead to immediate success. Through execution, you’ll start seeing a clearer path that becomes a better fit for your lifestyle as well as your career. Without trial and error, you’ll never be able to uncover your true calling. Further, be sure to stay true to who you are and continue asking yourself, “Why am I doing this?” If you can’t easily answer this, then chances are you’re headed in the wrong direction. Lastly, be patient, keep going and most importantly, don’t give up!
